NOTE: Broadway / Capitol Hill offers a huge variety of places for happy hour... I'll say it's likely THE neigborhood with the largest offering of happy hours within walking distance from each other. Let's see, on 'SeattleBarFly's BIG List' I found 125 businesses offering a happy hour in this area alone. A-MAZ-ING diversity and it was really tough to 'nail down' the few places listed below. Happy Hour FOOD offers is key to my lists.. so please suggest updates! Enjoy!

Julia's On Broadway. Colorful place by night for sure... 'LeFaux' stageshow is well done drag! But on a sunny day, the big doors and sidewalk seating (small patio) are great for people watching.. and you can happily imbibe from as early as 3pm. Happy hour goes till 6pm.. daily, plus 'late-night specials' offered in the last hour of operation. $1.95 drinks (full bar), $2.95 micros; $1.95 hummus and wedge salad, to $3 pulled pork quesadilla, and $4 will serve you a chili, house burger, or pork sliders! Julia's keeps SeattleBarFly happy indeed! My hat is off to keeping their low happy hour prices! Good food in a grand place. Across from Chase bank on Broadway. 300 Broadway E. Seattle, WA. 206-860-1818 www.JuliasRestaurantSeattle.com

22 doors Open, big air lounge with a private outdoor patio by day, but also known as the darkest, loungiest bar at night. Happy hour 4-6 everyday and late night Fri-Sat from 11 - 1am... yep, 1am. Perfect! Well drinks are the deal at $4, and beer goes well with mini burgers ($5). Friday and Saturday special small plates make any evening buzz. Also, well-prepared gourmet meals can be found for under $10. Cool. 405 15th Ave. E. Seattle, WA. 206-324-6406

Deluxe Bar and Grill
This place is one of my long-time favorite Seattle bars. I used to visit often with my ole studio partner Preston Wadley.. in the 80’s. Oh my. Just from memory, happy hour is from 3-6pm and 10-close everyday. I hope I have this right: Simple offerings with .75c off domestics, $1 off Euro-drafts, and $3 wells. A good selection of apps and burgers under $4. OUTDOOR SEATING. Capitol Hill. 624 Broadway E. Seattle, WA

The Capitol Club  To pull a line from Seattle Weekly 'It draws an eclectic crowd that includes intimate couples, drunken brides-to-be, musicians, and even belly dancing troupes'. You may find this place refreshing from the usual hipster spots on the hill. Fabulous food, strong drinks- The perfect place for a sublime night out. 414 E Pine St, Seattle, WA. (206) 325-2149 www.TheCapitolClub.net

Six Arms Happy hour daily 3-6pm, then 10p-midnight too. Wells and brew specials with appetizers too! Classiy, high-ceilings, fun booths.. nice place. 300 Pike Street Seattle, WA 206-223-1698

Baltic Room All BarFlies like dark, warm and inviting.. and this slick nightspot is a great place to catch some music or grab a quick drink. 1207 Pine St, Seattle, WA. (206) 625-4444

Barca Sumptious, dimly lit bar offers an oasis of velvety, European-style elegance on raw-edged Capitol Hill. No food but listed the place because of many memories - my photo studio was located behind it on 12th! 1510 11th Ave, Seattle, WA. (206) 325-8263

Bill's Off Broadway A rustic well-cared for pub in the midst of the Broadway bustle on Capitol Hill. A classic unpretentious sports bar with tatooed patrons. I've known Bills for their pizza.. it's the best. Happy hour is 4-7pm everyday offering what SeattleBarFly expects in a great happy hour -good food and drink at put-up-with-downtown-parking-meter prices- $3.25 cocktails and a wide veritety of microbrews at $2.75. According to Seattle Weekly, best thing on the food menu is the $3. cheezy Spinach Dip, followed by the mushroom boat and seasonal salad at $3. Oh-Baby. 725 E. Pine Street, Seattle, WA. 206-323-7200 www.BillsoffBroadway.com

The Wild Rose A popular hangout for the lesbian community affectionately known as "the Rose." Go there if you really don't give a hoot about how you dress, and/or you have/had, or even you have a bad hair day going. Noted: happy hour 'is great here' (but SBF has not imbibed) and be forewarned that evenings get a hellava following with the ladies-that-like-ladies crowd. 1021 E Pike St, Seattle, WA. (206) 324-9210

Twilight Exit, The 4-8pm M-f. $1 PBR's and food? -some fried, but there’s sandwiches, and yes even meatloaf.. just like mamma used to make. OUTDOOR SEATING. BarFly's only Central District listing. If you know of any others pop a note. 22nd and Madison.

Still Liquor Possibly taking a time-machine back to the 20's and into a restored auto-garage.. but doesn't quite fit a 'speakeasy' discription. Nice big windows and soft / soul music make the happy hour roll. 5-7 happy hour with $2 Session bottles, $4 wells, and specials. The weekly says 'Nobody fits in and nobody stands out' so the Still Liquor is up for grabs to any group to chase it, or, just up to you to tune in. 1524 Minor Ave, Seattle, WA. 206-467-4075 www.StillLiquor.com

Honorable Mentions: Americana, Annapurna Cafe, 22, 1st Hill Bar & Grill, Barca, Captian Blacks, Bill's Off Broadway, B&O Espresso, Boom Noodle, Charlies Bar And Grill, Comet Tavern, Garage, Elysian Brewery, Oddfellows Cafe & Bar, ...way too many!
