The Attic. Ale House and Eatery. This place is my art professor's hangout when in Madison Park. 4-6 M-F. $4 micros, $5 wells, $3-$6 apps. Mainly a sports bar, but off nights / late nights feel like home in this cozy tavern. It's been an icon within the heart of upscale-burb Madison Park for decades. Bar food is great - sandwiches are just rock solid here. 4226 E Madison St. Seattle, WA. 98112 206-323-3131

Red Onion, The Another icon, and a simply classic old-school happy spot with classic drink and food offerings. The fireplace rocks during cold winter nights. On 4210 E Madison Street, Madison Park. 206-323-1611.

Cactus 4-6 pm weekdays. Happy hour is ONLY for 'on the rocks Marguaritas' .. no food! Boo! Ask yourself.. what are these guys thinking? Their sister restanurants offer great happy hours.. what gives? Ahem... 'Classic Mexican fare w/ interesting and tasty sauces.' All I gotta say. 4220 E. Madison St. Seattle, WA. (in beautiful Madison Park.) 206-324-4140.

Bing's (Bodacious Burgers) Happy hour daily 4-6pm; $2 domestics, $3 micros, $4 wells... and $3-5 food specials. 4200 E. Madison Street Seattle, WA. 206-323-8623

Madrona Alehouse and Eatery On most nights, toddlers run wild as their parents enjoy a beer and a little knosh. This corner bar is lined with windows but the booths are best. 15 draft brews. I have not imbibed in the happy hour yet (sorry no details to offer) but the place seems perfect. Food choices range from a mushroom burger to smoked salmon fettucine. Cheesy pizzas, sandwiches and fresh-cut fries round out the bar food, while pastas and land-and-sea specials are menu mainstays. Madrona. 1138 34th Ave Seattle, WA 98122 (206) 323-7807

Cafe Flora  Happy hour M-F 3-6p; $3 beers, $6 wine and cocktails. $3-6 food specials. The vegan in you will giggle. Fun spot with creative food options. 2901 E Madison Street Seattle, WA 206-325-9100

Madison Park Conservatory  Happy hour Tue-Sat 4-6pm; Beer & cocktail specials, $5 snacks, $1.50 oysters. 1927 43rd Ave Seattle, WA. 206-324-9701.

McGilvera's   An Irish pub named after a judge in Seattle's history. Happy hour 4-6pm goes 1/2 price on drinks with food specials. Great reviews by 20:1 margin with one negative review says 'hipper-than-you beatniks in black' but I disagree. Great grub and the locale boasts airy classic European styling, high cielings, dark wood... with that killer view of Lake Washington. These guys need a information website! Anyway, location is all the way to Lake Washington eastbound on Madison Street - 4234 East Madison Street Seattle, WA. 206-325-0834
